ACT & SAT BOOT CAMP + ONE-ON-ONE PROGRAM

HOW IT WORKS

Students in our Program typically begin by attending a Boot Camp. Then, after taking an official test to gauge their new score baseline, the student will follow up with One-on-One tutoring.

Boot Camp

Our Boot Camps offer an efficient, intensive means of learning and applying our strategies. Students receive customized reports on trends in their incorrect responses through our online platform. While extra practice materials are made available to students, all work, including diagnostic testing, is completed during class.

The Boot camp consists of

  • 6 weekday workshops that are 2.5 hours and cover all three subjects, as well as

  • Full length practice tests offered on 2 Saturdays.

After the boot camp, a student then takes their first (or second) official test.

Follow Up One-on-One Sessions

If a student would like to continue to move their scores, they can follow up in our one-on-one tutoring program. In the subsequent One-on-One sessions, tutors build on the diagnostic results from the Boot Camp comparing them to the score results from test day to identify areas for further score growth. Tutors and students move quickly into targeted analysis and application because the foundational methods are understood for that next score jump!

Each week, the student meets a University Select tutor for one contact hour. The tutoring session is planned exclusively on the basis of the student's previous diagnostic results. In other words, a student's most statistically significant incorrect responses on a diagnostic test or practice set form the basis for the tutoring session. To generate this material, students are responsible for completing 2-3 hours of homework each week, in the form of a Diagnostic Test and/or Targeted Practice.
